Fantastic Ferriby tame Guiseley’s Lions

North Ferriby United defeated Guiseley 2-1 this afternoon to claim 3 crucial points in the race for survival. A wonder goal from Reece Thompson and an 87th minute winner from centre-half Jake Skelton earnt the Villagers a fully deserved win. Ferriby fell behind after 13 minutes after Will Hatfield fantastically placed his shot low to Rory Watson’s right. Guiseley ended the game with 10 men after captain Danny Lowe was dismissed after an altercation with Reece Thompson. Speaking to FanaticHull after the game, manager Steve Housham said “I am proud of every player, we fought to the end, it was my birthday yesterday so what a great present”. Ferriby will be looking to take this performance into next weekend, with another crucial fixture against Woking at the Eon Visual Media Stadium.
