Hull FC beaten by Dragons

Hull FC started their home campaign with a disappointing 16-14 defeat to the Catalans Dragons.
Despite outscoring the French side two tries to one, it was the Perpignan side that took the two points back home with them to the south of France.
Catalans played percentage rugby and took points when they came their way with Luke Walsh kicking five penalties and a conversion of Richie Myler’s try at the start of the second half.
Hull lead 8-4 at the break thanks to Carlos Tuimavave’s try just before the interval, but Myler’s try gave the Dragons the momentum they needed to get home for the win.
Liam Watts scored in the second half, but in a game littered and spoiled by referee Robert Hicks, it was the visitors who emerged victorious.
